How to Mix Colors

How to Mix ColorsAre you about to paint your home? It is a good choice to review how to combine colors. Or maybe you already have it painted and you do not like too much. Then you should not miss these tips to match the colors of the best. Bear in mind that choosing the correct tones is probably the most important component within the interior design.

The color has a strong impact on our lives, both mental and visual. The spaces may appear more spacious and more inviting thanks to a good decision. With the right color can raise or lower the roof or hide certain imperfections.

What colors work best together? That’s the big question. Let’s start with the color you like. You need not choose the most common colors or recommended if you do not totally convince.

Start by buying a color wheel. This will serve as a guide to select the color combination appropriate to your environment. So you can choose your favorite color and use it as a base for your color scheme.

One option is to use that color in different shades. This is what is known as a monochromatic color scheme. You can also use adjacent colors (for example, three colors that are together on the color wheel such as yellow, yellow-orange and orange). This combination works well in almost any room.

A complementary color scheme combines two colors opposite each other (red and green, violet and yellow, blue and orange). If you choose this type of combination you have one of the dominant colors and the other as complementary. Another alternative is to use a primary color with the colors that are on both sides of its complement. For example: green, red and violet.

It is not necessary to become an interior designer to match the colors of the best. Only a matter of learning a bit about color theory and make our home safe look really spectacular.
